Welcome to Ms. Sokolsky's Teacher Page

Hello!  My name is Krista Sokolsky, but my students call me Mrs. Ed (my husband teaches drama at Edendale and has always been "Mr. Ed", so when we got married I became Mrs. Ed.) I am a graduate of San Lorenzo schools (Corvallis and Arroyo High School), and my younger daughter attends Hillside, my older daughter is now in 10th grade. I have been teaching at Hillside since 1999, during that time I have taught 5th, 3rd, a 2/3 combo class, and this will be my 10th year teaching 4th grade. I love reading, coffee, and I have an unhealthy obsession with Marvel’s Avengers.

College
California State University Hayward (now Cal State East Bay) for my bachelors degree in Liberal Studies with an English option, continued there for my teaching credential

District Tools I Use 

Attendance  
I take attendance using Aeries. You can stay on top of attendance through the Aeries Family Portal or Aeries App

Report Cards
I use Aeries to generate report cards. Families can view report cards through the Aeries Family Portal. During Distance learning I will be posting point totals for completed work in Aeries so families can see what and how students are doing. 

I use Class Dojo as the primary means to keep you up to date on the happenings in our classroom and let you know how often your student is turning in their work.
